Emotions

I started thinking about something this morning: Why do people enjoy reading books that make them sad or scared? Tear-Jerker books are very popular and some people love reading books that make them cry! Thriller or horror books are one of the most popular genres; some people love books that give them nightmares! In general, we don't like feeling sad or scared, so why do we read these types of books on purpose?

    maybe some people do that because they like the books but at the same time their afraid of the books Brianna G

    I don't know why people read books that make them scared or sad. I don't like being sad or scared so I don't read books like that. I like to read funny books, adventurous books, and mystery books. They excite me. I like asking myself questions like " Is she/he going to be ok?" " what's going to happen in the next book?" and stuff like that. So I guess I was kind of useless to the question but at least now you know what kind of books I like.
